What Changes has BlueSky Psychology made during the COVID-19 crisis?

TeleHealth Counselling Sessions

The coronavirus crisis has had a profound effect on all of us and BlueSky is determined to do our part to minimise the spread of this virus. As a consequence we have temporarily moved all of our services to telehealth options (via video or phone) until the 31st of May 2020 in order to minimise risks to our clients and staff. Offering our services via Telehealth has been encouraged by the Federal government, and Medicare rebates are available for psychological counselling via telehealth for eligible clients with valid referrals and GP Mental Health Care Plans. We will be returning to offering the option of face-to-face consultations from the 1st of June 2020.

Reduced Cost of Counselling Sessions

As we know many people have been negatively financially impacted by this crisis, we have decided to temporarily lower fees for our psychological services to ensure that finances are not a barrier for clients to access our counselling services.

From the 13th of April 2020 until the 31st of May 2020 our fees for Telehealth counselling sessions will be as follows:

Clinical Psychology Services: $176.50

Generalist Psychology Services: $136.15

This will mean that if you are being rebated under Medicare for your Psychological Sessions your gap will be $50 per session.

From the 1st of June 2020 our fees will return to our standard fees.

Bulk-Billing for Eligible Clients

We are also offering bulk billing services under Medicare for Telehealth counselling to individuals who have a Better Access Plan and GP referral who holdĀ a valid concession card.
