Daniel Carabellese

Daniel is a curious, open-minded, and compassionate practitioner who enjoys taking a collaborative approach and working with people to identify and achieve their goals. His values as a psychologist are informed by his research, which focuses on shame, compassion, and therapeutic relationships. He enjoys working with people of all genders, ages and cultural backgrounds.
He has experience treating a range of mental health issues, including; depression, bipolar disorder, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias, panic and agoraphobia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He primarily practices Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a particular interest in Exposure Therapy.
Daniel firmly believes that it is essential to tailor any therapeutic approach to suit the specific needs of each person, and is happy to discuss adapting treatment to suit your needs. He also has a keen interest in multidisciplinary healthcare, and often liaises with other professionals, including GPs, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and others.
Daniel has completed all the requirements for a Master of Clinical Psychology and is in the final stages of a PhD in Clinical Psychology. He is also enrolled in the Clinical Registrar program to obtain endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. He holds general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is registered as an allied health provider with Medicare. He is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society and serves on the Advisory Committee of the Psychology and Health Forum.
Daniel consults at BlueSky Psychology on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday mornings.
