Ryan is a provisional psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia who has recently completed a Master of Professional Psychology at Bond University on the Gold Coast.
He is an empathetic, open-minded, and perceptive practitioner who endeavours to create a relaxed environment for clients to feel comfortable, supported, and respected. He focuses on building strong rapport and a trusting collaborative relationship, and doesn’t mind sharing a laugh or two along the way.
Ryan likes to utilise positive psychology principles and incorporates a strengths-based approach to improving the daily lives of young people and adults. This includes primarily drawing from values of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Ryan works together with clients to discuss the latest evidence-based strategies that may work for them through a range of challenges, including stress, confidence, generalised anxiety or excessive worry, social anxiety, low mood and depression, and panic.
Ryan has a particular interest in performance related psychology and is eager to continue developing his knowledge and skills in this area.
Outside of work you will find him playing a range of sports including basketball, tennis, golf, football, bodyboarding and enjoying the beach. He likes to read about world events, social psychology, self-improvement, and investigating new-age treatments for mental health issues.
Ryan consults at BlueSky Psychology on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
