Carly Sullivan
BPsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Health)
Prior to becoming a Psychologist, Carly spent 17 years working as a Critical Care Nurse within the Intensive Care Unit setting, a role which afforded her a wealth of clinical experience and that has deepened her insight into the mind-body connection. This unique combination of professions makes her well suited to offer psychological support and intervention to those with a range of acute or chronic physical health conditions.
Carly is a supportive and empathetic Psychologist who has completed a Master of Health Psychology at the University of Adelaide, from which she has experience working with a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and persistent pain.
Carly feels very strongly about the importance of using evidence-based therapies to help her clients achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing. She is experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and draws upon Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based techniques as well.
Carly understands that every client’s situation is nuanced and particular, calling for an individually tailored approach to care at all times. She places high value on the person-centred approach and offers a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients to tell their story.
When not at work, Carly enjoys baking, listening to podcasts and walking in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.
