Lauren Bischoff
BPsych (Hons), GDip (CBT), MPsych (Sport & Exercise)
Lauren is a performance and general psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, who has completed a Master of Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Queensland.
She is passionate about helping her clients enhance their personal development to improve their overall performance and well-being. She has experience using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and mindfulness-based therapies.
Lauren uses a flexible and collaborative approach to work with adolescents and adults through a range of challenges both on and off the court, including performance anxiety, fear of re-injury, improving confidence, goal setting, pre-performance routines, motivation and performance concerns. Lauren had the unique opportunity to be part of a team to create a series of mindfulness workshops for Australian Paralympians in quarantine after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Lauren’s warm and compassionate approach has assisted her ability to develop rapport and build a comfortable and non-judgemental environment for her clients. She has experience working in a broad range of individual and team sports and private practice settings, including but not limited to soccer, cricket, tennis, E-sports, athletics, AFL and combat sports. Lauren also has experience providing support to business owners, students, police officers and army officers to improve their performance and work/ life balance.
Lauren is passionate about finding ways to continuously develop her skills and is currently in the process of completing her sport and exercise psychology registrar program. Lauren is available to offer workshops on a range of performance and wellbeing topics.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the gym and watching sports.
